As you will know, the Winhill Girls have been involved in storing, erecting and organizing the ?Blessing of the Crib? service in the garden of Hathersage House for over 40 years, I believe and it has become synonymous with Hathersage tradition. Today the Winhill Girls told me that the storage for the crib and models has ceased to be available after this year?s display, and if none can be found on dismantling , then the crib will have to be broken up. This may well be the final showing as a result. Personally I think this would be a shame, and a loss to the ?village? environment. Can you do anything to help? Is there someone with an empty garage, barn or outbuilding who would be willing to offer it to the Winhill Girls. Do you know of anyone who might be able to help so that we don?t lose one of the very much loved village activities? I have attached a poster , which I hope you will print out and use to circulate the need. Maybe you could pass this news round your networks, or add it into your church news sheets, notice boards, businesses and magazines ? If you can suggest anyone who might be able to help, would you ask them to get in touch with The Winhill Girls, or let me know as soon as possible?
